Let denote the isometry group of the quaternionic hyperbolic space . A pair is \emph{strongly doubly reversible} if and are simultaneously conjugate in by an involution. Equivalently, there exist involutions such that , . We prove that the set of such pairs has Haar measure zero in . The same result also holds for for . In the special case , we show that every pair of elements in is strongly doubly reversible. Applying this result, we give a shorter proof of a theorem of Basmajian and Maskit showing that every pair of elements in is strongly doubly reversible. Furthermore, we derive the necessary conditions for a pair of hyperbolic elements in to be strongly doubly reversible and provide a quantitative characterization of such pairs.
