Longitudinal spin polarization of $\mathrm{\Lambda }-$hyperons in a thermal model

We briefly review the thermal model predictions related to longitudinal spin polarization of $\mathrm{\Lambda }-$hyperons emitted from a hot and rotating hadronic medium produced in the non-central relativistic heavy ion collisions.
