${\mathrm{\Xi }}_c(3055)$ as a scaling point to establish the excited ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_c^{(\mathrm{\prime })}$ family

Mass spectra and decay properties of the low-lying orbital excited ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_c^{(\mathrm{\prime })}$ baryons are investigated in the framework of the chiral quark model and quark pair creation mechanism, which are mainly based on the recently experimental fact that ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_c(3055)$ is a $D$-wave state excited in $\lambda$-mode. As a result, we make an inference that, (i) ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_c(2790)$ and ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_c(2815)$ are likely to be $\lambda$-mode excited ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_{c1}({\frac{1}{2}}^{-},1P)$ and ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_{c1}({\frac{3}{2}}^{-},1P)$ states, respectively. (ii) ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_c(2923)$ and ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_c(2939)$ could correspond respectively to the ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_{c1}^{\mathrm{\prime }}({\frac{1}{2}}^{-},1P)$ and ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_{c2}^{\mathrm{\prime }}({\frac{5}{2}}^{-},1P)$ states, while ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_c(2965)$ might be a $\rho$-mode excited ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_{c0}({\frac{1}{2}}^1,1P)$ state, and ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_c(2882)$ might be arranged as ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_{c0}^{\mathrm{\prime }}({\frac{1}{2}}^{-},1P)$. (iii) ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_c(2970)$ might be the ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_c({\frac{1}{2}}^{+},2S)$ state. (iv) ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_c(3055)$ and ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_c(3080)$ can form a $\lambda$-mode excited $D$-wave doublet ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_{c2}({\frac{3}{2}}^{+},{\frac{5}{2}}^{+})$.
