Let f:Rm+1→Rm+2r, where 2r−1≤m+1<2r, be a continuous map. Improving a recent result of Frick and Harrison, we show that there are 4 points x0,x1,y0,y1 in Rm, which are distinct if m+1=2r−1, and satisfy x0=x1, y0=y1, {x0,x1}={y0,y1} if m+1=2r−1, such that the vectors f(x1)−f(x0) and f(y1)−f(y0) are parallel.
