Static spherically symmetric solutions of the f(R) gravity

Static spherically symmetric (SSS) solutions of f® gravity are studied in the Einstein frame. The solutions involve SSS configuration mass M and scalaron mass $\mu$ (in geometrized units); for typical astrophysical masses, the dimensionless parameter $M\mu$ has very large value. We found analytic solutions on a finite interval for $M\mu \to \mathrm{\infty }$ in case of a family of scalaron potentials. The asymptotically flat solutions on $(0,\mathrm{\infty })$ have been studied numerically for $M\mu$ up to ${10}^{20}$ in case of the quadratic f® model.
