Study of the decay ψ(3686) \to Σ^{0}\barΣ^{0}φ

Using $(27.12\pm 0.14)\times {10}^8$ $\psi (3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, the decay $\psi (3686)\to {\mathrm{\Sigma }}^0{\bar{\mathrm{\Sigma }}}^0\phi$ is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of 7.6$\sigma$. Its branching fraction is measured to be $(2.64\pm {0.32}_{\text{stat}}\pm {0.12}_{\text{sys}})\times {10}^{-6}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. In addition, we search for potential intermediate states in the ${\mathrm{\Sigma }}^0\phi$(${\bar{\mathrm{\Sigma }}}^0\phi$) invariant mass distribution and a possible threshold enhancement in the ${\mathrm{\Sigma }}^0{\bar{\mathrm{\Sigma }}}^0$ system, but no conclusive evidence of is observed.
