Treewidth versus clique number: induced minors

We prove that a hereditary class of graphs is $(\mathsf{t}\mathsf{w},\omega )$-bounded if and only if the induced minors of the graphs from the class form a $(\mathsf{t}\mathsf{w},\omega )$-bounded class.
