$R_K$ and $R_{K^{\ast }}$ in an Aligned 2HDM with Right-Handed Neutrinos

We consider the possibility to explain the recent $R_K$ and $R_{K^{\ast }}$ anomalies in a 2-Higgs Doublet Model, known as Aligned, combined with a low scale seesaw mechanism generating light neutrino masses and mixings. In this class of models, a large Yukawa coupling allows for significant non-universal leptonic contributions, through box diagrams mediated by charged Higgs bosons and right-handed neutrinos, to the $b\to s{\mathrm{\ell }}^{+}{\mathrm{\ell }}^{-}$ transition that can then account for both $R_K$ and $R_{K^{\ast }}$ anomalies.
