Approximation of higher-order powers of the spectral fractional Laplacian via polyharmonic extension

We use the polyharmonic extension approach to develop a numerical technique for discretizing higher-order powers of the spectral fractional Laplacian $(-\mathrm{\Delta }{)}^s$ with $s\in (1,2)$.
