A geometric perspective on the method of descent

We derive a representation formula for the tensorial wave equation $\Box_\bg \phi^I=F^I $i n g l o b a l l y h y p e r b o l i c L o r e n t z i a n s p a c e t i m e s$ (\M^{2+1}, \bg)$ by giving a geometric formulation of the method of descent which is applicable for any dimension.
