Stability of the d-wave pairing with respect to the intersite Coulomb repulsion in cuprate superconductors

Within the spin-fermion model for cuprate superconductors, the influence of the intersite Coulomb interactions $V_2$ and $V_2^{\mathrm{\prime }}$ between holes located at the next-nearest-neighbor oxygen ions of CuO${}_2$ plane on the implementation of the d_{x^2-y^2}-wave pairing is studied. It is shown that d-wave pairing can be suppressed only for unphysically large values of $V_2$ and $V_2^{\mathrm{\prime }}$.
