Recently, M. Badger and R. Schul proved that for a -rectifiable Radon measure , the density weighted Jones’ square function is finite for -a.e. . Answering a question of Badger-Schul, we show that the converse is not true. Given , we construct a Radon probability measure on with the properties that $J_{1}(x) \leq \epsilonx \in \operatorname{spt} \mu1\mu$ vanishes almost everywhere. In particular, is purely -unrectifiable.
