The harmonic numbers Hn=∑0<k≤n1/k (n=0,1,2,…) play
important roles in mathematics. Let p>3 be a prime. With helps of some
combinatorial identities, we establish the following two new congruences:
k=1∑p−1k(k2k)Hk≡31(3p)Bp−2(31)(modp) and
k=1∑p−1k(k2k)H2k≡127(3p)Bp−2(31)(modp), where Bn(x) denotes the
Bernoulli polynomial of degree n. As an application, we determine
∑n=1p−1gn and ∑n=1p−1hn modulo p3, where
gn=k=0∑n(kn)2(k2k)\quadandhn=k=0∑n(kn)2Ck with Ck=(k2k)/(k+1).
