Let A be a union-closed family of sets with universe ⋃A∈AA=[n]={1,⋯,n} and length ℓ. We prove that ∣A∣≤∑i=0ℓ(in), with equality if and only if A=⋃i=0ℓ(n−i[n]). Additionally, by showing that ∣A∣≤ℓ−1ℓp−1+2n(1−2−ℓ)p for any nonnegative integer p, we establish for all integers 1≤k≤n that ∑i=0k(in)≤k−1kp^−1+2n(1−2−k)p^, where p^=⌊(n−k)/log2(1−2−kk)⌋+1.
