In this work, building on previous studies of plane-parallel flows, we investigate the rapid growth of the frozen-in vorticity field in an axisymmetric poloidal flow. We present the results of numerical simulations performed using supercomputing resources. We show that exponentially growing velocity gradients can develop on the axis of symmetry, while vorticity gradients grow superexponentially. These results are qualitatively similar to those previously obtained for vorticity in a simpler two-dimensional flow.
