More than 8/9 zeros of the Riemann zeta function are simple or on the critical line

We prove unconditionally that the lower limiting proportion of nontrivial zeros of the Riemann zeta function, which are simple or lie on the critical line, is greater than $8\mathrm{/}9$, with zeros counted with multiplicity.
