For a finite group and a subset , the bi-Cayley graph has vertex set and edges for and . The group is called an -BCI-group if, for all subsets with , the isomorphism implies that for some and . We prove that, for every prime , the generalized quaternion group is a -BCI-group. For , the proof uses regular coverings and voltage assignments: we pass to quotient graphs modulo the Sylow -subgroup and lift isomorphisms between them.
