Growth of Simple Closed Geodesics in closed Hyperbolic $3$-Manifolds

Let $M$ be a closed hyperbolic $3$-manifold. We prove that the number of primitive simple closed geodesics of length at most $L$ is $e^{(2+o(1))L}$ as $L\to \mathrm{\infty }$.
