Let be an elliptic curve, let be non-torsion, and let be the associated elliptic divisibility sequence. For a fixed prime , we study when an arbitrary finite product can be a -th power in . The main result is that, under the hypothesis that is divisible by or , such product relations impose rigid restrictions on the large prime divisors of the indices . More precisely, for every , all sufficiently large prime divisors which occur as simple largest prime divisors of the indices and whose complementary cofactors are -smooth must occur in -balanced blocks. Equivalently, the corresponding prime-incidence rows over have pairwise disjoint supports, are linearly independent, and satisfy the packing bound In particular, if , where the are sufficiently large primes and the are -smooth, then a -th power product relation can hold only if each prime occurs among the with multiplicity divisible by . The proof combines Silverman’s valuation law, a fixed finite-prime-set consequence of Reynolds’ finiteness theorem, and the Hasse bound. The case gives the corresponding square-product obstruction.
